About Kahlin!
Kahlin Kelly is a creative recruiting and human resource professional by day and screenwriting enthusiast by night. Based in the Central Florida area, Kahlin has been rocking the recruiting and staffing world since 2004 when she took her first recruiting role with Advantage Services Group in Orlando. Starting at the company as an administrative assistant, within months she became the branch recruiter with her fresh and creative approach at finding talent. Eventually she went on to become the Area Recruiter for all of Central Florida’s Advantage Services Group branches including Largo/Clearwater and Ocala.
After putting hundreds to work in the Orlando area and becoming a company celebrity, she took her stellar ninja-like recruiting skills and moved to South Florida to work for Personnel One. As the Area Recruiting Manager and shape shifting multiple hat wearer of the region, she had the honor of serving as the internal recruiter to five branches. Additionally she created and managed targeted recruiting plans for each office, rolling them out according to market each quarter. Filling empty chairs with qualified employees during the day, she still found time to network in the local chambers, young professionals group, SHRM, finish her bachelor’s degree from the Univeristy of Central Florida and hatch diabolical movie plots on her Mac.
While her professional life was blooming, her personal life was too. Kahlin became engaged to her high school sweetheart who unfortunately was still in Orlando. Distance becoming more and more a factor for the two, they decided to take the plunge and set up house in their hometown stomping ground of Palm Coast, FL. A wedding date has not yet been set, but the couple is hoping for Fall of 2008.
Kahlin plans on returning to UCF to earn her master’s degree as well as her PHR. Future goals include working as a professional recruiter, selling a script, winning an Oscar for best screenplay… and getting a new job!
